The theme for this show as folklore and Fables.

This painting I did was inspired by the Norwegian folktale of King Valemon, ( aka East of the Sun and West of the Moon)

It tells the story of a young woman who leaves behind the familiar to follow a mysterious enchanted bear prince. Across different retellings, she appears as either a poor girl or a princess, but the lesson remains the same: love asks for trust long before everything is revealed.

Bound by a curse, the White Bear King exists between man and beast, tenderness and isolation. After fear and doubt break the bond between them, the heroine must endure an impossible journey to reclaim what was lost. The story becomes one of devotion, transformation, and the courage required to see beyond appearances.

This painting reflects the feeling of stepping into an old myth, where darkness breathes quietly through the forest, and love becomes an act of faith rather than certainty.
